Elicina Cream fights Stretch Marks

Stretch marks result when the skin's collagen and elastin fibres are literally stretched to breaking point, and are caused when the skin is called upon to stretch while hormones are out of balance, e.g: pregnancy, puberty (rapid growth), body builders using steroids or steroid-type hormones released from your own adrenal cortex during these stressful periods on the body. These hormonal imbalances (in men as well as women) cause hair follicles to tighten, allowing hardened sebum to build up closing the pores. This causes hair loss, acne and prevents the healing of scarring of all types, including stretch marks. People going through weight swings in a short period of time also get stretch marks, but the skin damage is so extensive that it usually can't be helped by Elicina Cream. To understand the treatment of stretch marks, and specifically the role of the natural glycolic acid and the bio-available allantoin contained in ELICINA CREAM:

Your skin is made up of three layers, the epidermis, dermis, and the subcutaneous tissue. The Epidermis - the outside layer is known as the stratum corneum (the horny layer). The horny layer is the tough, waterproof cover made up of dead cells, which are continuously shed as new cells come up from below. This is the layer that most skin care products affect, improving the look of the skin by temporarily plumping the dead skin cells. This distributes light more evenly, creating the appearance of smoother, more radiant skin, but in order to actually improve the condition of the skin you would need a substance that could penetrate this outer layer of skin. Glycolic Acid also affects the newly forming keratin cells at the bottom of the stratum corneum causing the bulk of it to lift off and separate from the underlying skin. This gives your skin a much smoother look and feel. The prick-cell layer is the middle layer of the epidermis. This layer contains maturing cells (squamous cells), which are heading up toward the horny layer. The basal layer births the new skin cells that will eventually mature into squamous cells. This layer contains melanocytes, the cells that give pigment to your skin, known as Melanin. Exposure to sunlight cause the melanocytes to produce more melanin in an attempt to protect the dermis below. This is what gives your skin a tanned appearance after sun exposure. Sunless tanners do not affect the melanocytes, but use an ingredient called dihydroxyacetone (DHA) to stain a reddish-brown color to simulate a tan. The Dermis Beneath the epidermis lies the skin's second major layer, the dermis. This layer is responsible for the skin's elasticity, shape, and strength.

Elastin in the dermis enables the skin to snap back easily, and Collagen gives skin its strength, in order to keep it from stretching or sagging too much. Both fibres are extremely vulnerable to the sun's ultra-violet rays, which destroy them. Skin care products that contain collagen and elastin usually can not restore these fibres because their molecules are too large to pass through the skin's horny layer. So using collagen creams after a "sanding" massage to get rid of rough skin on the surface will not help your skin regenerate quickly. Glycolic Acid within the snail's secretion is able to penetrate through the cell walls by virtue of its small molecular size and it also keeps the hair follicles open, carrying into them the skin repair bio-available ingredients contained in the snail's secretion, namely allantoin, collagen, elastin, proteins and vitamins. Thus Elicina does contain elastin and collagen molecules that will penetrate within the skin follicles, this time carried in by the glycolic acid they are combined with in the snails' slime. Collagen and elastin will help in the process of regenerating your damaged skin by quickly restoring the water holding properties of healthy skin. Once inside the follicle allantoin and amino acid chains (peptides and proteins) within Elicina will trigger and accelerate the formation of new elastic cells, collagen and pigment, filling in stretch mark cavities. It will also shrink and replace the old fibrous and damaged collagen. Soon new 'invisible' hair, known as lanugo, will come through the restored hair follicles in those areas.

Now, you must protect your skin from more damage with a sunblock SPF of 15 or higher, and avoid sun-bathing while the process in ongoing. The Subcutis The subcutis or fatty layer, cushions the internal organs and contains a layer of fat to provide insulation. This is also where most of your hair follicles and sweat glands originate. The quantity of product is such that a 40 gram jar will last one month if applied to stretch marks on one side of your body on a small size abdominal area (enough to "test" it), or on an area the size of a face when used for scars. Gently massage a thin layer into your skin twicea day or use it in conjunction with a vigourous massage routine to exfoliate the dead and rough skin in the epidermis. ELICINA® is hypo-allergenic, and can be used by children and pregnant women under no risk. First thing you will notice is a smoothing of your skin, and within a few days or weeks of disciplined application of a little twice a day you will start seeing and feeling results. Then you can decide how much is necessary for you to get the full results you desire.
